In everything we do this year and all our goals, may God help us all, so we don’t lose focus and stay the course, no matter what the obstacle or challenges.
Just watched an interview with Nancy Pelosi on Who’s talking to Chris Wallace (CNN) and she discussed how she got reluctant lawmakers to vote on legislations. It was featured in the documentary on her life as the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, “Pelosi in the House” on HBO.
She stated with emphasis: “You cannot lose the fight. You cannot tidy. Wresting is wresting. You’ve got to stay in there.”
It’s funny she describes persuading lawmakers and deal making as “wresting.” Reminds me of yesterday’s sermon by the Pastor, summarised above. Pray we don’t give up too soon or get too tired to “stay the course”.
